A large country concert "JAMBOREE Y's Country World" is scheduled to be held on the 2nd and 3rd of June in Yokosuka (near Tokyo) as part of the Yokosuka City Incorporation Centenary Celebration. In conjunction with a party the night prior, country dancing and a parade, major country recording artists from Nashville will be performing in concert as well. The Yokosuka US Naval Base is cooperating with the celebration, and will be opening its gates during the festival as well. This is sure to be a country event the likes yet unseen in the Kanto region.
